FAQ

How do I place a wholesale order for my retail store?

We would love to speak with you about carrying BACI products at your store! Please contact us at hello@bacichocolatier.com to reach a Wholesale associate.

What makes your confections different from the others?

BACI Chocolatier is a national award-winning producer located in Sonoma Wine Country. We are the only producer of fine Swiss chocolate north of San Francisco. Our entire collection is handcrafted in small batches, using only the finest quality, raw materials, meticulously sourced from small, local farmers and producers. We never use any artificial ingredients, colors, or preservatives.

Do you use any organic ingredients?

Yes, we use as many organic ingredients as possible!

Do your products have partially-hydrogenated fats or oils?

No, we use all natural ingredients, which means no hydrogenated or partially-hydrogenated fats or oils.

What allergens are contained in your products?

All of our products are manufactured on equipment that processes peanuts, tree nuts, and milk. In additional all of our products with chocolate contain soy lecithin, which is an emulsifier, preventing the cocoa butter from separating from the cocoa mass, and potassium sorbate, which is a natural, fruit-based stabilizer.

When is my order shipped?

Due to the delicate nature of our confections, and to ensure you receive only the freshest product available, please allow a 2-6 day lead time from the date of order until shipment.

What happened to $10 shipping?

During the summer season, shipments to warm locations requires an additional $2 to cover the cost of adding ice packs to protect your order.

Where is my order? How can I track a package?

When you place your order on the website, if you provide an email address, you will receive an email on the evening that your package(s) ships out from our kitchen. This email will contain the tracking number for the package(s), which you can then use to track your package(s).

Can you explain the shelf life of your products?

“Shelf-life” refers to the length of time the product will remain fresh after you receive it.

Shelf-life for our artisan dark chocolates is one-month, however, artisan dark chocolates are best when consumed within two-weeks. Do not store your dark chocolate in the refrigerator as the creamy ganache could dry out. If you have a wine cooler, this is the ideal location to store your dark chocolates. If you do not have a wine cooler, most pantries generally work fine. Artisan dark chocolate is happiest when stored at temperatures between 60 and 70-degrees. Protect your artisan dark chocolate from direct heat and sunlight.

Shelf-life for our artisan lemon confections is three-months. It is not recommended to store your lemon confections in the refrigerator as they tend to sweat while returning to room temperature. Shelf-life in the pantry for our artisan sauces is up to six-months. As soon as you receive your artisan sauces, it is recommended to store them in the refrigerator as the colder temperature functions as a natural preservative. Shelf-life in the refrigerator is up to one-year. Protect your artisan sauces from direct heat and sunlight.

The sauce isn’t pouring very well out of the bottle, what should I do?

For a perfect pour, please remove the cap from the bottle and gently heat in the microwave for approximately 30-seconds. Besides the perfect pour, the flavor of warmed sauces is beyond extraordinary.

What is your return policy?

If you are unsatisfied in any way with any of our perishable products, please contact our Chocolate Concierge Department at hello@bacichocolatier.com and we will do anything we can to make your experience with Baci Chocolatier a pleasant one.
